Associated space launch
Sentinel-5P, also known as Sentinel-5 Precursor, is an Earth observation satellite developed by European space agency as a part of Copernicus Programme. Being the first mission of the program dedicated to monitoring air pollution, Sentinel-5P is tasked to perform atmospheric measurements relating to air quality, climate forcing, ozone and UV radiation.
BREEZE-KM R/B was lifted into orbit during the mission ‘Rokot / Briz-KM | Sentinel-5P’, on board a Rokot/Briz-KM space rocket.
The launch took place on Oct. 13, 2017, 9:27 a.m. from 133/3 (133L).
